On the road again.
La nuit a été calme, on a juste été dérangé par une vache !
The night was quiet, we've only been disturbed by a cow!
A la station service, Charlie a encore fait des siennes et le pompiste nous a fait repartir. On s’est donc plus arrêter jusqu’à Exmouth. Ju a mangé pendant que Vi conduisait puis on a changé.
Exmouth n’est pas une ville intéressante ! Il n’y a pas grand-chose, tout ferme à 16H30 et l’accueil à l’office du tourisme est bidon.
On campe au Yardie Homestead Caravan Park à l’entrée du Cape Range NP car tous les campings du parc sont complets. Il faut aller à la ranger station dès 8H demain matin pour réserver pour demain soir.
We are in Exmouth. We’re staying at the Yardie Homestead Caravan Park just before the entrance of the Cape Range NP because all the NP campsites were full. We have to go to the ranger station tomorrow morning at 8am to book one for tomorrow night.
On en a profité pour faire les lessives et nettoyer le van. Il y a de la poussière partout, fini la piste, on commence à en avoir marre bouffer de la poussière !
We washed our clothes and cleaned up the van. There is dust everywhere, no more tracks, we’re fed up with unsealed roads!
Les routes que l’on emprunte sont très belles. La terre et les collines sont rouges, le sol est couvert de spinifex vert clair/jaune (boules de piquants) et les eucalyptus sont d’un vert plus foncé.
The roads we’re driving onto are beautiful. The earth and the hills are red, the ground is covered with light green/yellow spinifex and eucalyptuses are dark green.
Il n’y a pas grand monde mais il faut rester concentré pour ne pas s’endormir ou écraser un kangourou, une vache (ou l’inverse), un lézard, un iguane, un serpent, un oiseau, un émeu … le vrai parcours du combattant !
We don’t see many people but we have to keep concentrated to avoid falling asleep or hitting a kangaroo, a cow, a lizard, a goana, a snake, a bird or an emu… !
