Meanwhile in Perth, Ju is moving out !
Il a été assez difficile de 'négocier' notre séjour chez Jan. Nous nous étions mis d'accord sur le fait que Ju travaillerait le matin, du lundi au vendredi, en échange du logement et que nous payerons notre nourriture.
It was rather difficult to 'negotiate' our stay at Jan's. We agreed on the fact that Julien is working every morning from Monday to Friday in exchange for accommodation and we pay for our food.
Entre temps, Jan s'est cassée l'épaule et cela a quelque peu compliqué la situation. Nous faisions les courses et cuisinions pour elle et elle payait la moitié des courses. Mais avec Jan, rien n'est jamais simple et cela nous a menés à d'incessantes mises au point et discussions.
Elle a beaucoup de travaux à effectuer chez elle mais elle a aussi peur que notre séjour chez elle soit trop long et nous a demandé de nous absenter pour Noël puis régulièrement par la suite.
In the meantime, she broke her shoulder so we were shopping and cooking lunches and dinners for her while she was paying for half of the shopping cost. But nothing is simple with Jan and it led us to never ending discussions.
She has a lot of things to be done in her house but she is also afraid that our stay at hers would be too long. She asked us if we could go away for Christmas.
Nous avons donc sauté sur l'occasion : sa sœur Tish part chez sa fille dans le Queensland jusqu'au 5 Janvier et cherchait quelqu'un pour s'occuper de son caniche, Palika pendant son absence. Nous nous installons donc chez elle jusqu'à son retour et nous arrosons ses plantes et promenons Palika.
We jumped on the occasion : her sister Tish is going away to Queensland until the 5th of January and was looking for someone to look after her dog Palika. So we're house-sitting her house until she comes back.
Ju souffle enfin un peu : plus d'indépendance et de liberté. Il n'a plus à travailler pour Jan et a plus de temps à consacrer à ses jobs.
Ju is more independent and has more time for his labouring jobs.
Nous retournerons chez Jan ensuite mais selon les termes du contrat initial ... Eh oui, on a failli faire appel à un notaire !!
Elle ne s'attendait peut être pas à une absence aussi longue, elle a encore du mal à cuisiner et sa liste de tâches à faire est restée en plan mais bon, elle voulait un peu d'intimité.
We'll go back to Jan's afterwards on the terms of the 1st contract ... Yes, we almost had to call a notary !!
