Il fait beau ! On est donc retourné voir les dômes, on est allé jusqu’au point de vue situé au début de la marche pour Picanniny gorge et on a refait Cathedral gorge.
The sun is shining today so we drove back to see the domes, walked to the lookout at the beginning of the Picanniny Gorge and went back to Cathedral Gorge again.
Et il a fallu refaire la route à l’envers. Dans l’après-midi, on a abordé la Gibb River Road : 588 km de piste ! On dégage un énorme nuage de poussière, c’est moins drôle lorsque l’on croise quelqu’un !
Then we had to drive back. In the afternoon, we began the Gibb River Road : 588 km of unsealed track ! A huge cloud of dust follows the car, it is less funny when a car is coming on the over side!
On a seulement fait 33 km pour s’arrêter à El Questro, une station qui s’est convertie en holiday resort. On a payé pour le passe et pour camper une nuit et on est parti faire un tour de 4x4 qui s’est avérée trop difficile pour nous ! Demi-tour.
We drove only 33 km to stop at El Questro, a station that has been converted into a holiday resort. We payed for the pass and camping for a night and we went driving on so hard a track that we had to reverse !
De retour au camping, ou plutôt à la station township, on a bu des bières bien fraiches et on a réservé un terrain de camping privé au bord de la pentecost river. On a pris une bonne douche, de laquelle on peut voit le coucher du soleil ! On a finalement décidé d’y rester une deuxième nuit.
Back to the camping, we drunk some cool beers and we booked a private camp site on the bank of the Pentecost River. We finally decided to stay one more night!
